This one was clever. Had half a message left on my answephone from a ""Ben"" - it cut in half way through the number then repeated it. (This was on my home phone, even though I am with the TPS). As I am self employed, I called back using my mobile as I thought it was a mobile number I was calling and it might be a customer. Even the message was convincing -"" Hi this is Bens phone, very busy right now, if you are calling about the radio, please listen to the following message..."" or something like that. So I listened , waiting to leave him a message and eventually got bored and hung up. I stupidly tried again this morning, when the penny finally dropped - SCAM!
I immediately called vodaphone who to their credit are refunding the �1.30 the first call cost me as I wasn't warned that the call was outside my free minutes. They were also going to pass on the number to the relevant dept. I also filed a report with the TPS - whether it will do any good, who knows.
Hope this is of some help and stops these scum making at least a few ���s
